NDLEA has declared four suspected drug kingpins wanted over their alleged involvement in operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory and laundering drug proceeds.
The agency says the suspects went into hiding after operatives uncovered the illegal meth lab in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, where 18.4 kilograms of methamphetamine and other exhibits were recovered in February.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi in a statement, says a Federal High Court in Owerri approved the declaration, while forensic investigations led to the freezing of about ₦9.8 billion linked to the suspects and the interim forfeiture of assets, including a filling station, residential buildings and four SUVs.
Chairman of the NDLEA, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd), says the operation demonstrates the agency’s determination to dismantle drug trafficking networks and seize assets acquired through the illicit trade.

He appealed to Nigerians with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspects to report to the nearest NDLEA office, assuring that the agency will continue to pursue everyone connected to the syndicate.
