New NFF President Emerges

New NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau

Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau has emerged the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, the NFF.

The chairman of chairmen on the Executive Committee of the last board, polled 39 votes in today’s NFF Elective Congress in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Alhaji Gusau needed at least 22 votes to win in the first stage of the election but fell by one, only to clinch victory with 39 votes to 1 in a rerun with former Super Eagles goalkeeper Idah Peterside.

The Zamfara State FA chairman who has promised to implement Federal Government’s 10 year master plan for football development will now steer the affairs of Nigeria’s supreme soccer governing body for the next 4 years.
