Ojelabi Congratulates Nigerians on 62nd Anniversary of Attainment of Independence

The Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Cornelius Ojelabi, has congratulated Nigerians on the 62nd anniversary of Nigeria’s attainment of Independence from the Britain.

It would be recalled that Nigeria gained independence from its colonial ruler, the British Government, on October 1 1960.

Then the British flag, “The Union Jack”, was lowered and replaced with Nigeria’s Flag of GREEN-WHITE-WHITE colour and it started flying high across the length and breadth of Nigeria till date.

Mr. Ojelabi, in a statement in Lagos, said that Nigerians have always been resolute that the country would remain strong in spite of all its challenges.

He said that he was optimistic that Nigeria, a great country with great potentials, would soon get out of its many challenges.

Mr. Ojelabi, said that the current anniversary of the nation’s independence from Britain in 1960 was a major celebration as this would take us to another election come 2023 where credible leaders would be elected to continue the job of good governance for Nigerians.

He appealed to the citizens to keep praying for the country in order to sumount its many challenges and in particular that the 2023 general elections would be conducted peacefully and with the fear of God by all and sundry.

“I appeal to Nigerians to keep trusting the ruling party, the APC, and vote en-masse for all its candidates during the forthcoming general elections slated to hold in February and March 2023.

” l assure you that our party, will continue to uphold the trust and confidence repose in us by Nigerians.

“Let us keep hope alive while l urge our youths to remain strong and believe in the spirit of one Nigeria”.
