Nissi Ogulu’s Art exhibition puts Africa in positive light

The importance of contemporary arts in communicating and showcasing the positive side of Africa has been emphasized.


A multi tarlented musician and contemporary Artist Miss Nissi Ogulu made the remark in Lagos at an Art exhibition tittled ” Puzzle””


Miss Ogulu who is also an automobile designer said “”Puzzle “” is representation of perspectives, how people see things and understanding that everything is multi dimensional adding that people will get different views about things and it will also portray the positive side of Africa.
Miss Ogulu described Arts as a fantastic way to communicate with out speaking and very effective in addressing societal issues.
According to her, there are many facets that makeup one person and, therefore, the need for people to open up thought processes, dig deeper and understand more things.

“I like arts; I am a musician; I like engineering, fashion and I love my family.
What motivates me is creating an impact on the world that portrays the creative brilliance and the all-around intelligence of Africa that is hidden on a global scale,’’ Ogulu said.

In a remark an Art collector Mr Alex Nwuba who urged Nigerians to invest in Arts generally and support young Artists said there is huge investment opportunities in Arts as it creates pleasure and value.
Mr Nwuba was of the view that Arts remained a huge industry yet untapped with great potential.

For an Art Lover Mr Ladi Badah who described Nssi’s Art works as master piece pointed out that each art work speaks volumes.

High point of the event was musical entertainment from the host Miss Nissi Ogulu who is also a sister to a well known musician Burna boy as she showcased the musical tarlent that runs in the family gene by recitng some of her songs to the audience.


The Art exhibition also showcased high quality contemporary art work by Nissi Ogulu.
