All is set for the command performance heralding the opening of the 35th National Festival of Arts and Culture 2022 (NAFEST 2022) today.
Few hours to the official opening of competitive events, delegates started arriving the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, which will serve as festival village and venue for most events as Abia, Osun, Rivers and Benue arrived early and about 32 states are still being expected.
The Director General, National Council for Arts and Culture ( NCAC), Otunba Segun Runsewe was on ground to oversee activities as the the cultural protocol team, administrative officers, took charge of every area of operations.
Eko NAFEST provided business opportunities for brisk businesses as traders cashed on the opportunities at the venue to sell food, water, foot wears, clothes, while some of them secured positions to display their wares for sale this will definitely push billions of naira into the host state ( Lagos) tourism financial ecosystem.
Security is top notch and may tested during the Command performance night today. The festival entertainment city and crafts expo village, are up swing, expected to showcase the best of Nigeria cultural entertainment , arts, crafts and fashion.
Those engagements are also expected to mill new cultural tourism naira notes and spendings from Nigerians and foreigners who will have a one shop stop over opportunities to buy the best of Nigerian cultural gifts and fashion statements with the yuletide around the corner.
