The Lagos State Government says the 2025 South West Games will be a rallying point to enhancing social inclusion, youths engagement, bring about healthy rivalry and create opportunities to redirect young people in to creative minds.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said this on Friday, when the South West Games 2025 Committee led by its President, Dr Olanrewaju Alfred, paid a courtesy visit and presented a customized jersey to him at the Lagos House Marina.
He said Lagos would continue to be a rallying point in creating enabling environment, use social apparatus to develop sound minds, promote inclusion and youths engagements for community development.
The Governor commended the brain behind the idea and pledged the state’s government support for the 2025 South West Games holding between 26th and 28th of March at four locations including, Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Teslim Balogun Stadium, and Rowe Park.
Earlier in his remarks, President of the South West Games 2025 Committee, Dr Alfred who appreciated the Governor for his inspirational leadership, said the event which is a maiden edition would be a vehicle for youth motivation empowerment and development
