The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 32 vessels carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at Lagos ports between January 12 and January 30.
According to the NPA’s Daily Shipping Position, the vessels will berth at Apapa, Tin-Can Island and Lekki Deep Sea Ports, conveying cargoes such as crude oil, aviation fuel, gasoline, petrol, bulk bitumen, containers, general cargo, bulk urea and condensate.
The authority also disclosed that 10 ships and tankers are currently waiting to berth at the three ports, laden with diesel, crude oil, bulk wheat, petrol, fresh fish, raw oil, containers and bulk salt.In addition, 31 vessels are presently discharging various cargoes at the ports, including bulk fertiliser, general merchandise, wheat, salt, diesel, soya beans, bulk urea, liquefied gas, petrol, fresh fish and containerised goods.
The NPA noted that port operations remain steady, assuring that measures are ongoing to ensure efficient cargo handling and smooth movement of goods across all terminals.
