Two hundred small scale business owners in Badagry have benefited from a cash grant of one hundred thousand naira each to boost their businesses.

Chairman Badagry Council Area, Mr Babatunde Hunpe, made this known in an interview with our Correspondent Yemisi Dada in Badagry, said the support tagged Asiwaju Cash Grant would improve the local economy and take people off the street.

“This is the 3rd batch of the Renewed Hope ₦100,000 Asiwaju Cash Support.
Another 200 beneficiaries, including Badagry market women and small business owners, were empowered”.

“This initiative will reach 4,000 residents over 20 months, strengthening household stability and expanding inclusive economic participation across our communities”.

“We remain committed to building a stronger and more resilient Badagry.
While speaking on efforts of his administration to eradicate indiscriminate dumping of refuse on road media, the Badagry Council Chairman said waste tricycles were procured to evacuate waste from main road median while LAWMA catered for inner streets waste collection.
He noted that people were also employed as Waste Police to monitor the Council and ensure residents are sensitized and warned about the dangers of indiscriminate waste disposal.
Mr Hunpe who was a former House of Representative member for Badagry federal constituency appealed to residents to support the government by paying their taxes and levies regularly to enhance more developmental projects at the grassroots.
He added that within the first one hundred days of his administration in Badagry, fifteen Primary Health centers, Iyafun public school, five inner streets among others have been renovated and equipped for public use.
