The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola cast his vote

The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, has described the ongoing voting exercise as hitch-free and faster compared to the Presidential and National Assembly election held few weeks ago.

Mr Fashola, a former Governor of Lagos state arrived at Polling Unit 002 at State Junior Grammar School, Onitolo, off Eric Moore in Surulere LGA at exactly 11.30 am and exercised his franchise in less than ten minutes.

Answering questions from the newsmen the Minister who said it was still too early to air his view on turn out of voters described the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC as an institution that is conducting elections across the country with very large and massive territories hence the need to make a healthy critic and inspire them to do better.

The process has been very peaceful in Aguda, Surulere.

Voting commenced in most of the polling units in Aguda and environs by 8.30 am this morning.

The turnout is quite impressive as people trooped out en mass in some areas to exercise their franchise.

As earlier reported INEC officials arrived early at exactly 7.39 am at the polling units and voting started 8 30am with a high turnout in some polling units while some have a low turnout of voters
