LASU Warns Admission Seekers Against Fraudulent Offers for Money

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has warned prospective students against falling victim to fraudulent claims of admission in exchange for money.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar and Coordinator of the Centre for Information and Public Relations, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, the university stressed that no member of staff has the authority or capacity to sell admission slots.

She cautioned candidates that anyone making such promises is exploiting desperation and cannot deliver on them.

According to Mrs. Thomas-Onashile, LASU has closely monitored recent social media posts and comments regarding the ongoing 2025/2026 admission exercise, making it necessary to clarify the facts for the benefit of the public.

She further disclosed that the institution has admitted qualified and verified Lagos indigenes under the supplementary and discretionary categories.
