The Lagos State Government has restated its commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and inclusion among Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) through the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA).
Speaking at the 2025 Ability Expo and Talent Hunt in Somolu, the General Manager of LASODA, Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, represented by the Director of the Medical Rehabilitation, Mobility Aids and Appliances Department, Mrs. Eniola Olukanni-Abokhai emphasized that PWDs should be recognized for their skills, talents, and contributions to society rather than their limitations.
She reaffirmed LASODA’s dedication to advancing empowerment and equal opportunities for all, highlighting the state government’s resolve to build an inclusive environment.
Also speaking at the event, the Director of Social Development and Integration, Mr. Akeem Kelani, commended the creativity displayed by members of the disability community and assured them of continued government support in promoting a more inclusive society.
