The Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Unification of Nigeria has installed His Grace Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo as its new Supreme Head, with a pledge to lead the church to greater spiritual and administrative heights.
The ordination and installation ceremony, held at the Seraphim Land in Maba, Ogun State, marked the formal succession of leadership from the erstwhile head, His Eminence Solomon Adegboyega Alao, who retired after ten years of service.
Significantly, the leadership transition was the first in the church’s history to be conducted peacefully and without crisis.
The event was witnessed by members of the Church’s Supreme Ecclesiastical Council, elders, and dignitaries from across the country.
The installation was performed by the Church’s Chief Legal Adviser, Mr. Wale Taiwo (SAN), who administered the oath of office and pronounced Alogbo as the fifth Supreme Head of the church in line with its constitution.
Taiwo described the position as the church’s highest spiritual authority and urged members to accord the new leader the respect and obedience his office commands, noting that his words remain law within the body.
As part of the inauguration rites, the Supreme Ecclesiastical Council and other elders presented Alogbo with the Bible, a staff of office, the church constitution, and his ordination certificate, symbolizing the spiritual and administrative tools of his new mandate.
In his valedictory address, outgoing leader His Eminence Solomon Adegboyega Alao expressed gratitude to God and the church for the privilege to serve, highlighting key achievements during his decade-long tenure.
He noted that the church witnessed remarkable growth in peace, unity, and infrastructure development, including the completion of its headquarters at Seraphim Land and the establishment of the Mother Esther Ajayi Women Development Centre.
Other milestones included the near completion of the Moses Orimolade University at Omu-Aran, Kwara State, and the initiation of the Holy Michael Devotion.
“The church has continued to grow in every facet of human endeavour,” Alao said, praying for God’s wisdom and grace upon his successor.
In his inaugural speech, His Grace Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo promised to build on his predecessor’s legacy and work tirelessly to ensure that the C&S remains united and Christ-centred.
“It will remain our focus to raise a united, disciplined, and Christ-centred C&S that glorifies God,” Alogbo declared.
“We shall strengthen the body of Christ and become a beacon of spiritual excellence, holiness, and service to humanity, with the Bible as our roadmap.”
