President Bola Tinubu arrives in Imo State today on an official visit, with security agencies assuring water-tight measures for a hitch-free outing.
According to the state Police Command spokesperson, Henry Okoye, personnel have been deployed across strategic locations in Owerri and its environs to guarantee safety before, during, and after the President’s visit.
During his stay, Tinubu will inaugurate major projects, including a twin flyover interchange at Assumpta Cathedral (Control Post), the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Conference Centre, and the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia Road.
Roads leading from the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport have also been rehabilitated to ease movement for the presidential convoy.
Meanwhile, the Mazi Organisation (TMO) has faulted Governor Hope Uzodimma’s performance, accusing him of focusing on federal road projects for reimbursement while neglecting state and local infrastructure.
The group urged the President to look beyond the ceremonies and consider the everyday realities of Imo residents.
