Contact staff of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have lauded the Authority’s management for extending its Public Relations Pep Talk to regional offices across the country.
They described the initiative as timely, enriching, and a morale booster for greater productivity.
Held under the theme “Character and Relationship for Maximum Productivity,” the sessions took place at the Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Kano Regional Offices.
The programme, conceptualized and facilitated by the Managing Director of SAPTCO Public Relations and Former PR, NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurogboye, was earlier organized for cleaners and security personnel at the NCAA Headquarters in Abuja and Lagos Regional Office before being expanded nationwide.
The extension, approved by the current management in line with its commitment to staff capacity building, aimed to strengthen frontline engagement and improve service delivery.
The sessions, which combined PowerPoint presentations and interactive discussions, explored the role of contact staff as the interface between NCAA and the public, emphasizing professionalism, courtesy, punctuality, and teamwork.
Participants praised the training for deepening their understanding of NCAA’s mission and values, particularly honesty, integrity, and respect.
They also commended the Director General, DGCA, Captain Chris Najomo, for the initiative and the recent upward review of staff salaries, describing both as steps that motivate greater commitment to duty.
The staff, however, appealed for regular organization of such training sessions to sustain productivity gains, recruitment of additional personnel to reduce workload, and stronger vetting of outsourced workers.
They also proposed the introduction of an oath of secrecy and enhanced digital security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
Highlights of the sessions included lively question-and-answer engagements, with participants requesting that their branded T-shirts be approved as official attire every Wednesday to promote unity and team spirit.
Mr. Adurogboye noted that the Pep Talk reflects NCAA’s dedication to nurturing a disciplined and professional workforce capable of projecting the Authority’s image positively to the public.
