New CMD Tasks Staff to Make Badagry Hospital Lagos Best


The newly appointed Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Badagry General Hospital, Dr. Adesoji Adesola, has charged the management and staff to work together in positioning the hospital as the best in Lagos State.

Dr. Adesola gave the charge while addressing management staff during the official handover ceremony from his predecessor, Dr. Olatunde Bakare.

Commending Dr. Bakare for his remarkable leadership and contributions, Dr. Adesola urged all departments to remain committed to delivering quality healthcare services to the people of Badagry and its environs, in order to sustain the hospital’s growing reputation.

According to Dr Adesoji Adesola: “Every department reflects the capacity of its leadership. I assure you of my full support as we work together to surpass current achievements through innovative and collaborative service delivery

He encouraged staff to rise above challenges in their service areas, promising continuous engagement to ensure impactful improvements in healthcare delivery across the hospital.

Earlier, the outgoing CMD, Dr. Olatunde Bakare, expressed gratitude to the management team for their cooperation throughout his five-year tenure, noting that the hospital had recorded significant growth and progress.


“Together, we’ve moved Badagry General Hospital far beyond where it was five years ago, and I am confident that even greater milestones lie ahead,”

According to the hospital’s management, Dr. Bakare was deployed to Badagry General Hospital on October 22, 2020, and officially handed over leadership to Dr. Adesola on October 28, 2025.
