Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, under Operation DESERT SANITY V, have arrested a 65-year-old woman, Hauwa Abulazeez, over alleged drug trafficking linked to Boko Haram terrorists in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to a statement by the Task Force Media Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, the suspect allegedly supplied cannabis sativa to terrorists operating across several communities.
Troops recovered 14 compressed blocks of cannabis, weighing about 30 kilograms, believed to have been sourced from Taraba State.
The suspect is currently in custody, while investigations continue to dismantle the wider drug distribution network.
