Nigeria’s First Lady and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated three fully equipped mobile clinic units to enhance healthcare delivery in underserved communities across the country.
The clinics were handed over in Abuja under RHI’s Love on Wheels project, which aims to take healthcare services beyond hospital walls, improve emergency response times, and expand access to quality medical care in hard-to-reach areas through trained health professionals.
Two of the mobile clinics were donated to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), fulfilling a pledge made in January 2025, while the third was presented to the Taraba State Government, following a promise during the First Lady’s official visit to the state in April.
Senator Tinubu explained that the delivery timeline was due to the clinics being built from scratch to meet certification standards.
Emphasising non-partisan service, the First Lady noted that the Taraba donation was made despite the state being governed by the opposition PDP at the time, stressing that national service must rise above party politics.
She prayed that the clinics would be responsibly used to save lives and complement existing state healthcare efforts.
Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, expressed gratitude for the donation, describing it as a life-saving intervention and his first such gift since assuming office.
NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Oluseye Nafiu, also praised the initiative, calling the mobile clinics a strategic boost to reaching underserved Nigerians and strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.
