Lagos Christian Pilgrims Charged to be Watchmen for Nigeria

Lagos Pilgrims have been Charged to Stand as Watchmen for Nigeria.

The Bishop of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Bishop Jeremiah Abidemi gave the charge at an evening devotion of the ongoing pilgrimage in Nazareth, Israel.

Bishop Jeremiah said, God is conferring Watchmen and Women of Niger, WON, on us, alongside Jerusalem Pilgrim.

Bishop Jeremiah emphasised God’s call for intercessors, Isaiah 62:6, saying, “God wants His people to be watchmen, standing in the gap and praying for Nigeria.

The Lagos pilgrims echoed prayers for Nigeria’s prosperity and God’s guidance to live a life of integrity and hope that will light up the world.

In his closing charge, the Board Secretary of the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr. Gbolabo Okudero reiterated the need for the pilgrims to remain focused.

Noting that Nazareth is a land that people thought nothing good can come out from, Dr. Okudero quoted John 1:46 which read, ‘And Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?, Philip saith unto him, Come and see, stating that the same place that was termed useless, produced Jesus Christ the Messiah of the world.
