The Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service at the Seme Border Command, Comptroller Jacob Idoko Ejeh, has called on residents of border communities and surrounding areas to support the command in carrying out its core responsibilities.
Comptroller Ejeh made the appeal during a chat with correspondent Pentho Francis, emphasizing that collaboration between the command and residents is crucial to strengthening the security architecture of the Seme border area in Badagry.
According to him, cooperation from members of the public will greatly assist the command in effectively monitoring border activities and addressing security challenges.
The Comptroller assured residents that the command is aware of their expectations and remains committed to working in the best interest of the communities within the border corridor.
He also reaffirmed the readiness of the command to tackle irregular migration and other related offences at the Seme border.
Comptroller Ejeh further noted that the existing collaboration between the Nigeria Immigration Service and other security agencies operating at the border has significantly contributed to safeguarding lives and property in the area.
Speaking on activities at the border, the Comptroller explained that traffic and patronage at the border post have fluctuated since he assumed office about two weeks ago, noting that the period is traditionally characterized by low movement across the border.

He therefore called on media organisations, particularly federal media outlets, to support the command by giving adequate publicity to its activities.
Meanwhile, Comptroller Jacob Idoko Ejeh recently assumed leadership of the Seme Border Command following the retirement of his predecessor, Comptroller Abdullah Adamu, from active service.
