Tinubu Condemns Plateau/Kaduna Killings, Orders Security Agencies to Act

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent killings in Angwan Rukuba, Plateau State, and attacks in Kahir village, Kaduna State, describing them as barbaric and unacceptable.

The President said the violence, which included the killing of residents in Jos and the abduction of wedding guests in Kaduna, represents an affront to the values and unity of Nigeria.

He assured Nigerians that the perpetrators would be brought to justice, directing security agencies to intensify efforts to track down those responsible for the attacks.

President Tinubu also warned against the spread of misinformation capable of escalating tensions, cautioning sections of the media against portraying the incidents as religiously motivated without verified facts.

He reaffirmed that security agencies are actively responding to the situation and stressed the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and safeguarding lives and property.

The President urged affected communities to comply with safety advisories, including evacuation and relocation directives where necessary.

He commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang and Governor Uba Sani for their efforts in managing the crisis and supporting rescue operations, while assuring both states of continued federal support.
