Tinubu Congratulates FRCN at 75, Praises Role in Nation Building

President BolaTinubu has congratulated the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria on its 75th anniversary, marking April 1, 2026.

The President also extended greetings to the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, its management and staff, as well as other affiliated agencies on the milestone celebration.

President Tinubu described FRCN as a dynamic and influential institution, noting its position as Africa’s largest broadcast network with 47 FM stations and six zonal stations across the country.

He commended the organisation’s role in promoting development communication between government and citizens for over seven decades, serving as a reliable platform for information, education and entertainment.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said FRCN has preserved Nigeria’s history through its archives, which have remained valuable to leaders, researchers and scholars.

He also praised the corporation for nurturing generations of broadcasters, producers and sound engineers across the continent.

As the organisation marks its 75th anniversary, President Tinubu urged it to remain committed to its mandate of informing, educating and uniting Nigerians.
