Shareholders of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company, NAHCO, are urging the firm to bid for the ownership and management of airport terminals as the Federal Government moves to privatise major international airports through a public-private partnership arrangement.
Speaking at NAHCO’s 45th Annual General Meeting in Lagos, shareholders said the company has the financial strength, operational experience and industry capacity to successfully manage airport terminals and expand aviation services beyond Nigeria.
They noted that participation in the airport concession programme would boost efficiency, modernise infrastructure, create new revenue streams and further position NAHCO as a leading aviation services provider in Africa.
The call comes as NAHCO announced strong financial results for 2025, with revenue rising to over 65 billion naira and profit after tax growing significantly, driven by increased business partnerships and expansion across the aviation sector.
Management says the company is committed to sustaining growth, exploring new opportunities and strengthening investments in modern equipment and airport operations.
