Chief Dan Anyanwu has emerged as the presidential candidate of the Zenith Labour Party ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking after his presentation as the party’s flag bearer at the ZLP 2026 National Convention in Abuja, Anyanwu said his administration would implement policies designed to strengthen national cohesion and ensure that every segment of the country is adequately represented in governance.
He stressed the need for an inclusive government that would leave no Nigerian behind, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.
The ZLP candidate criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of failing to effectively manage Nigeria’s diversity to drive national development.
According to him, the inability of the current administration to harness the country’s rich diversity has contributed to several socio-economic challenges facing the nation.
He maintained that the country’s growing insecurity is partly a result of the centralized policing system, noting that Nigeria’s size and complexity require a more decentralized approach to law enforcement.
The ZLP flag bearer called on Nigerians to remain united and actively participate in the democratic process by exercising their voting rights during the forthcoming general election.
