The Chairman of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Opeyemi Akindele has received strong commendations from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, APC State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and Alimosho political leader, Bisi Yusuff following the unveiling of key infrastructural and social projects to mark her first 100 days in office.
The celebration, held at the LCDA secretariat, drew a large crowd of political leaders, community leaders, traditional rulers, religious groups, party stalwarts and residents.
As part of her 100-day achievements, Akindele inaugurated several projects, including the rehabilitated 2nd Avenue Road; the newly renamed Adunni Akindele Way (formerly Boys’ Town Road); a block of six upgraded classrooms at Abesan Primary School; a refurbished Opeki Primary Health Centre; and official vehicles for the Nigerian Police Force, the LCDA environmental and security teams. An ambulance was also donated to the LCDA health facility.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, represented by Kayode Bolaji Robert Bibire, praised Akindele’s leadership and alignment with the state’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ development agenda.
He described her early achievements as evidence of “vision, passion and genuine commitment to the needs of the people.”
Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, represented by Ajomale Oladipo Olayinka, said Akindele had demonstrated “resilience, dedication and purposeful leadership,” adding that the administration was already driving meaningful grassroots development.
APC State Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, congratulated residents for supporting Akindele, declaring that “you have not wasted your votes,” and affirming that her early performance shows commitment to delivering democratic dividends.
At the inauguration of the Adunni Akindele Way, Prince Bisi Yusuff commended the LCDA boss for completing two key road projects in Abesan Estate, the largest low-cost housing estate in West Africa, within just 100 days.
He said the visible progress in the council proves that Alimosho’s promise of strong electoral support for President Bola Tinubu was founded on genuine belief in developmental leadership.
The ceremony ended with renewed calls for residents to continue supporting the administration as it pursues more projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, community welfare and local governance.
