The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his Bauchi State counterpart, Bala Mohammed are expected as special guests of honor at the 2023 National Women’s Conference of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, COWLSO to take place between the 17th and 19th of October with the theme: “Unleash Your Potential.”
Speaking at a Pre-event news conference, Wife of the Lagos State Governor, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who is also the Chairperson of COWLSO, said the participants would be from various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the State Government, other State Government delegates, political groups, the civil society, and other organizations, while the Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu will be the Mother of the Day.
Earlier, the Chairman of the National Working Committee of COWLSO 2023, Mrs Olufunke Adeyeye, noted that the conference was an opportunity to foster a lasting collaboration and create new ideas that would bring out the best in participants for national development.
Mrs Adeyeye said that seasoned facilitators and panellists would speak on various topics that would be of benefit to women and society.
Over five thousand participants are expected at this year’s National Women’s Conference, both physically and virtually.
