Less than 15 hours after an earlier accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a second road traffic crash occurred on Monday night at Kara Bridge, involving a lone blue Mercedes Benz (registration number GGE 635 XF).
The incident, which took place at around 8:45 PM, involved four adult males, all of whom were rescued unhurt, thanks to the swift response of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a minor crash without injuries or fatalities.
The FRSC rescue team arrived within two minutes of being alerted, ensuring prompt evacuation and management of the situation.
Obstruction clearance is currently underway, with FRSC personnel and other emergency responders working to ease traffic congestion on the busy route.
Sector Commander, CC Kehinde G. Hamzat, praised the professionalism of the rescue team and once again urged motorists to obey speed limits, especially at night.
“Drive defensively and responsibly. Speeding is a major cause of night-time crashes,” he advised.
