
The Nigerian Army Signals has pulled out 16 retired senior officers comprising Major Generals and Brigadier Generals in a glamorous ceremony held at the Nigerian Army Signals parade ground, Apapa, Lagos.
The special guest of honour at the ceremony retired Major General Abiodun Owolabi said the Contribution of the Nigerian Army Signals remained fundamental to operational successes achieved in the Nigerian army .

Major General Owolabi who spoke on behalf of his colleagues said the ability to deliver, secure, timely and uninterrupted communications as well as enhance situational awareness, continued to serve as a vital enabler of mission accomplishment across all theatres.
The out gone Major General who was also the special guest of honour noted that they were indeed proud to observe that the new leadership in the corps continues to improve on modest contributions both in operational and improving the welfare needs of officers and soldiers.

General Owolabi urged those still in service, especially the younger officers and soldiers, to uphold the values of the profession; remain disciplined, professional and committed to excellence.
Major General.Owolabi stressed that the world continues to change, and the challenges before the Nigerian Armed Forces remain complex, yet, he is confident in their capability, courage and commitment to confront and address these challenge.
In a good will message retired Major General Daniel Kitchener urged those that were pulled out to be grateful to God that they left alive and going back to their community safely ,as so many that joined were no more.
Senior officers of the military , families , stakeholders of various institutions , captains of industries were in attendance.
