The Nigerian Army has called on its newly graduated logistics officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and commitment in the discharge of their duties.
This charge was given at the graduation ceremony of the Logistics Staff Course 22 of 2025, held at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) in Ojo, Lagos.
Representing the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, said logistics is the cornerstone of effective military operations.
He urged the officers to apply the knowledge and leadership skills acquired during their training to enhance the Army’s efficiency, especially in joint and combined operations.
He commended the graduands for their dedication and resilience throughout the intensive training, noting that their performance reflected the high standards of the Nigerian Army.
The Commandant of NACOLM, Major General Wisdom Benjamin Etuk, in his remarks, described the event as a significant milestone in the career progression of the 32 officers — 30 from the Nigerian Army and two from the Nigerian Navy.
The event featured the presentation of certificates and awards, as well as the formal induction of the graduands into the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Top military officials, representatives of professional bodies, and industry leaders witnessed the ceremony, which ended with a group photograph and light refreshments at the Officers’ Mess.
