The immediate past Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Dr Olusegun Onilude has assured residents of Badagry of more Dividends of Democracy and credible representation at the House of Representatives, if given the opportunity.
Dr Onilude gave the assurance while featuring on Radio One 103.5FM personality program, Goal Getter at Ikeja GRA.
Dr Onilude who was the Chairman of Badagry Local Government from 2017 to 2025 highlighted some of his achievements in office to include construction of Legacy building which now houses the seat of power in Badagry, remodeled Town Hall building, and construction of numerous road projects among others.
“My administration focused on massive infrastructure upgrades, education, and vocational empowerment. Key achievements include constructing the 16km+ road network like the Cinema-Dansu, building modern staff quarters, and providing bursaries, school uniforms, and vocational training via the UNDP center” he said
“Other Legacy projects included construction of multiple road projects, including the Agric-Isalu Road. Built a new, upgraded, and modern administrative building (legacy building) to enhance governance as well as construction of a modern staff quarters and the Moses Owolabani Shopping Arcade” Onilude listed
While fielding questions from some of the callers on the program, Dr Onilude said he is not resting on his oars in development of Badagry hence his resolve to much to the Green chamber to represent his constituents if given the opportunity, assuring them of credible representation in Abuja.
He called on people of Badagry to participate actively in politics noting that when people with antecedents don’t participate the floor is left for questionable characters, therefore he appealed to residents to exercise their franchise during election for the right people to ascend leadership position.

“However, we are not blind to the challenges that persist. It is essential to confront these issues with determination and collective effort. From security concerns to economic stability, we face formidable tasks, but I am confident that together, we will overcome them”
Dr Onilude’s tenure as Chairman Badagry LGA was noted for “visible transformation” and “continuity,” which concluded with the commissioning of these legacy projects in July 2025.
