Bonu Leads Badagry Walk, Urges Exercise, PVC Collection Ahead 2027

Nigerians, particularly residents of the Badagry Federation, have been advised to embrace regular exercise as a vital means of improving overall health and wellbeing.

The Member representing Badagry Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Solomon Saanu-Bonu, gave the advice while speaking with journalists during the Badagry Walk for Asiwaju 2025.

The fitness walk, organised by the lawmaker, started from Topo Garage, Badagry, and ended at Sultan Beach.

Mr. Bonu also urged Badagry residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that meaningful political participation is impossible without voter registration.

According to him, the collective vision for development and effective leadership can only be achieved through active civic participation.

In his remarks, the Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Mr. Sesi Whingan, advised youths in the area to shun violence and act responsibly as the country approaches another election season.

Dignitaries present at the walk included the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Olanrewaju Ibrahim-Layode; Chairman of Badagry West Local Council Development Area, Mr. Rauf Ibrahim-Yemaren, popularly known as Rikay; and renowned Nollywood actor and APC chieftain, Mr. Saheed Balogun.

Also in attendance were leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the Badagry Federation.
