It was a merry Christmas indeed for some residents of Lagos State who got unexpected gifts from the Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sharing his Christmas message in a post on Instagram, Governor Sanwo-Olu had urged members of the public, including Lagosians to be their brother’s keeper, show kindness to one another in gifts and affections and to take a moment to reflect on what would truly make this a season to remember.
Reacting to the Governor’s post, one of the netizens, asked the Governor to practice what he preached while he dropped his account number requesting an urgent N10,000, needed to cook rice for his family.
Like Father Christmas, Governor Sanwo-Olu assented to the request with an Ok and also granted the wishes of many others, making users of the app tagged his kind gesture #BOSChristmas.
Drawn from different parts of Lagos, including Oshodi, Surulere, Ajah, Ejigbo, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Abule-Egba, and Ogba, those whose Christmas wishes were fulfilled by Governor Sanwo-Olu include, Oluwagbotemi Moshood, a final year student who got the laptop he requested for delivered to his door, and came back to reply that “It still feels like a dream”, Precious Onome, a caterer and owner of Nomzy Kitchen, who also got a deep freezer delivered to him as a Christmas gift from the Governor, said, “Is this real?
