Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has kept fans and opponents in suspense ahead of Nigeria’s crucial AFCON 2025 Group C clash against Tunisia scheduled for tonight.
Speaking at his pre-match briefing, the Franco-Malian tactician said his final tactical plan and starting line-up would only be determined after a last-minute assessment of his squad.
Chelle praised the quality and discipline of the Tunisian side, noting that revealing too much before kickoff would only play into their hands.
He hinted at two possible approaches for the Super Eagles — either allowing Tunisia more possession or sticking with Nigeria’s traditional attacking philosophy.
Both teams will come into the encounter with confidence, having won their opening matches.
Nigeria edged Tanzania 2-1, while Tunisia defeated Uganda 3-1 to top the group on goal difference.
A win for either side will guarantee qualification for the Round of 16 with a game to spare.
The Group C showdown kicks off at 9pm Nigerian time.
