As Nigeria celebrates Children’s Day, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun has issued a powerful message of hope, inspiration, and renewed commitment to building a future where every child in Epe can thrive.

In her official address, Princess Animashaun described the day as an opportunity to honor the unique role children play in shaping the nation’s destiny. “Children embody the promise of a brighter tomorrow,” she said. “They are not only the dreams of our ancestors, but also the builders of the greatness we aspire to.”

She highlighted the importance of nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and physical well-being of young people through sustained investment in education, healthcare, and child protection. According to the Chairman, the local government under her leadership remains focused on ensuring inclusive growth for all children—regardless of socioeconomic status.

“As leaders, parents, and guardians, we have a shared responsibility to provide our children with the tools, values, and environment they need to excel,” she stated. “We will continue to implement child-friendly policies and safeguard their rights through inclusive governance and impactful programs.”

Princess Animashaun further appealed to community stakeholders, educators, and civil society to work collaboratively in guiding children with compassion, vision, and firm moral values. She stressed that the character and courage instilled in today’s youth will determine the strength of Nigeria’s future.

To the children of Epe and Nigeria at large, her message was clear and empowering: “Keep dreaming. Keep shining. The future is yours—and it is full of infinite possibilities.”

The Chairman’s statement aligns with national objectives surrounding Children’s Day, an annual observance that draws attention to the rights, protection, and development of children across the country.
