Cleric Preaches Unity, Trust, Forgiveness as RCCG Celebrates Family Weekend

There is need for each family to build their foundation solid on God’s word to be formidable and useful to the society at large.

This is because the family forms the smallest unit of the society and every public office holder comes from a family, hence the need to inculcate good morals from home to lead with the fear of God.

This was the sermon of Pastor Simeon Omole, the presiding Cleric of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abundant Grace parish, Eyita Ikorodu during the Family weekend today.

Pastor Omole emphasized that the four pillars family which include Love, Unity, Trust and Forgiveness are needed to live in one accord which would also transcend to the larger society.

He hinged the moral decadence among the youths popularly known as GenZ, on lack of indiscipline and family values.

The Clergyman urged parents not to spare the rod in correcting their children, noting that when they grow, they would not depart from the path of God’s words.

Earlier, the Youth President, Mr David Achoba encouraged the congregation to drop all their sinful behaviors while being dead to sin and be alive to the fruits of the spirit to guide their daily activities and be good ambassador of Jesus Christ on earth.

Our Correspondent reports that the family weekend was observed by all parishes of the RCCG as the congregation dressed in uniform attires, prayed, wine and dine in togetherness during and after the service.
