Cleric urges Nigerians to be grateful to God to earn more rewards

Ungratefulness often leads to downfall, while those who are grateful and appreciate the kindness of Almighty God are more likely to receive greater rewards and breakthroughs.

Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dawud Abdul-Majeed Eleha Alfa Nla made this statement during the Mega Asalatu and Ramadan Lecture organized by NASFAT to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary.

Speaking on the topic, “There is No Help Exempt from Allah,” Sheikh Abdul-Majeed noted that NASFAT is a project of God aimed at spreading the message of Allah and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad to the public.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing God’s mercy and grace in NASFAT’s journey over the past thirty years, highlighting that NASFAT has been a leader in humanitarian service, the promotion of education, and the teaching of Islamic values.

He expressed concern about some Islamic scholars who use social media to create misunderstandings, stating that the call to the path of God should be inviting and persuasive rather than forceful.

He encouraged NASFAT to remain steadfast and to continue striving in the service of God to win more souls.

During another lecture at the event, the guest lecturer and university professor, Professor Nosrudeen Onibon, reflected on NASFAT’s journey.

He recalled how the organization began in community central mosques and has grown to include the ownership of mosques, hospitals, a faith-based university, and various other initiatives aimed at uplifting individuals and promoting self-sufficiency.

He emphasized that the intentions of NASFAT’s founding fathers were pure, leading to its recognition as a global icon in just thirty years.

Professor Onibon expressed optimism that NASFAT would continue to serve as an agent of change, drawing people closer to God.

He also stated that NASFAT would persist in encouraging righteous behaviour and discouraging wrongdoing.

celebrated the organization’s significant impact on promoting peace, unity, and brotherhood among Muslims.

He highlighted NASFAT’s role in fostering peace, coexistence, and religious tolerance.

Alhaji Osinuga stated that the Asalatu is a celebration of NASFAT, marking thirty years of its achievements. It highlights the organization’s success in various areas, including dawa, leadership development, and human capacity building.

He said that the gathering celebrates NASFAT’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and brotherhood among Muslim communities, as well as fostering dialogue and peaceful coexistence among all people, nations, and religions worldwide.

He emphasized that NASFAT is committed to the progress of humanity and is dedicated to the true worship of Allah without discrimination.

He described NASFAT as a welcoming community, contributing to the development of youth not only through education but also by providing skills and essential tools for their future. In the spirit of this thirtieth-anniversary celebration.

Alhaji Osinuga: said Women of NASFAT are actively engaging in outreach efforts. They are distributing palliative care, educating the public on the importance of rejecting domestic violence and sexual harassment and making donations to prisons and hospitals. They also support these institutions with medical equipment and other vital resources. This dedication is what makes NASFAT unique.

The Mega Asalatu and Ramadan lecture, held at the NASFAT Islamic Centre in Asese, Ogun State, brought together NASFAT members from various southwestern states to worship God, honour the Prophet Mohammed, and listen to the teachings of Islam.

The event featured special prayers for the nation and society at large, led by the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Alhaji Moruf Onike, along with other missioners.
