Convener Naija Brand Chicks Tradefair, Nelly Agbogu, Commends Lagos Govt for Huge Support, Says Success Recorded as Lagos Tourism NBC Tradefair Closes

As the Lagos Tourism Naija Brand Chicks, NBC, Tradefair closes, the Lagos State government has been commended for supporting Small and Medium entrepreneurs by showcasing their brand visibility to the global map.

While speaking with newsmen at the end of the three days traderfair which commenced on April 11 to 13 at the Federal Palace Hotel on Victoria Island, the Convener, Mrs Nelly Agbogu, said partnership with the Lagos Tourism has increased the success stories of the commercial activities.

Mrs Agbogu who was visibly elated boasted that this month’s NBC tradefair edition has surpassed the last fair which generated over one billion naira revenue, noting that many entrepreneurs came from other states to participate.

“This has been an amazing experience, business owners are happy and I am also happy we have broken the last editions record of revenue generation”.

“I can say categorically I have been to many states in the country but none come close to the support we got from the Lagos State government, it is really huge and I am grateful, many thanks to the SA Tourism, Mr Idris Aregbe and Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for throwing their weight behind the Naija Brand Chicks Tradefair, I do not take the support for granted, and we are hopeful of a more successful outing in the next edition which will take place on Lagos mainland”

On his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism Arts and Culture, Mr Idris Aregbe, also expressed satisfaction with the turnout of the over one hundred thousand customers for the three days, as vendors made massive sales.

Mr Aregbe thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu for the initiative of infusing entertainment into commerce, as creative economy also boosted sales generation for participating brands.

“This is what Lagos is all about to put smiles on the faces of small and medium scale entrepreneurs by supporting them and I want to specifically thank my Governor, our Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu, for believing in this initiative. The government was actively involved in ensuring that the trade fair arena where people from different parts of the world shop right, shop smart, and save costs”

“The entertainment aspect is not all about dancing alone but using entertainment to drive commerce as Lagos has the huge market and it took the advantage to show SMEs to the global map, I am indeed happy about the success of the fair” Aregbe stated.

The Lagos Tourism Ambassador, Ms Pelumi Nubi who is also a global traveler, joined in the closing of the tradefair.

The next edition of the Lagos Tourism NBC tradefair will be held mid year in Ikeja, while the London and Morocco edition will be held before the end of the year.
