Covid-19: Vaccinated Travellers Arriving Nigeria No Longer Required To Take COVID-19 Test

Fully vaccinated travellers coming into Nigeria will no longer be required to take a pre-departure PCR COVID-19 test from the 4th of April 2022.

Samples of fully vaccinated passengers will be taken on arrival, for rapid antigen test by the NCDC within the arrival hall of the airport at no cost.

Also, Children aged 10 – 18 years, will not be required to have pre-arrival PCR tests but will have a sample taken at the arrival hall free of charge.

The Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee, Mr Boss Mustapha announced this at a news briefing in Abuja on the revision of International Travel Protocols.

However, passengers who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated are still expected to take a COVID-19 PCR test 48 hours before departure, or do a Day 2 and day 7 test on arrival.

According to Mr Mustapha, such passengers, are expected to pay for their PCR tests through the Federal Government’s travel platform, while fully vaccinated passengers will not be charged for rapid antigen tests at the airport.
