Customs Appoints Salawu as New Lagos Industrial Area Head

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has appointed Comptroller Adebola Salawu as the new head of its Lagos Industrial Area Command.

The announcement was made on the Service’s official X handle, confirming that Salawu takes over from Comptroller Sarah Wadinda, who recently retired after years of meritorious service.

A statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Juliana Tomo, noted that the handover ceremony was held at the Command’s headquarters in Festac Town.

Comptroller Wadinda was commended for her leadership and notable contributions, including the Customs Cares initiative at Festac Senior Grammar School.

In her farewell remarks, Wadinda expressed appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, for the opportunity to serve, and urged officers of the Command to extend full cooperation to her successor.
