Delta Governor Condemns Age Falsification by Civil Servants

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has decried age falsification by civil servants aiming to unlawfully extend their service years.

He made this known at a thanksgiving service for newly appointed Head of Service, Dr. Mininim Oseji, held at Church of God Mission, Asaba.

The governor warned that the practice deprives younger, energetic candidates of job opportunities.

He praised the Civil Service Commission’s ongoing age verification exercise, assuring full government support.

Oborevwori also announced plans to appoint new permanent secretaries, stressing that selections will be transparent and merit-based.

He described Dr. Oseji’s promotion as a sign of God’s favour, not just human effort.In her remarks, Dr. Oseji thanked God for the honour, recalling her career beginnings as a young medical officer.

Bishop Nathaniel Mordi urged the congregation to keep Christ at the center of their lives, through discipline and prayer.

Governor Oborevwori reaffirmed his commitment to a transparent and youth-inclusive civil service.
