Eid-el-Kabir: Emir Sanusi Urges Kindness, Generosity to the Needy

The Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II, has called on Muslims to show kindness to the less privileged and uphold the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Speaking during a sermon after leading prayers at the Kofar Mata Eid Ground, the Emir stressed the importance of love, peace, and generosity, especially during festive periods.

He reminded the faithful that the essence of Eid lies in sharing joy, particularly with those in need.

Despite the security ban on the traditional Durbar parade, the Eid celebrations in Kano were peaceful, with heavy security presence across key areas to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, observed his prayers at the Nasarawa Mini Palace, in a separate gathering that also proceeded peacefully.

Muslims across Kano gathered at various Eid grounds, marking the celebration in a spirit of unity and devotion.
