FAAN moves International passenger processing from Old to New Terminal

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has commenced the relocation of foreign airlines and others from the old International airport terminal to the new terminal.

Spokesman for FAAN, Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua in a statement says, the redirecting of the processing of passengers through the New International Terminal, which has taken immediate effect became necessary due to the unfortunate fire incident that occurred at the International Terminal 1 Wednesday.  

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo had during his maiden visit to Lagos airport directed the Managing Director, FAAN to relocate airlines to the New International Terminal while the Terminal 1 is shutdown by 1st October, 2023 with a view to improving passenger experience and for total overhaul of the terminal.

FAAN says, it intends to make this movement as seamless as possible and appealed to all travellers to be at the airport early enough to complete  their check-in formalities on time  in order not to miss their flight.
