FAAN staff to get payment of outstanding entitlements, deductions before September, December
The Managing Director Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN, Captain Rabiu Yadudu has promised to pay all outstanding deductions and entitlements of its staff before the end of September and December, 2021.
The deductions and entitlements include the remittance of cooperative deductions, furniture grant outstanding gratuity, consequential salary adjustment, actuarial valuation and stipends for staff in Kaduna and Jos.
This was the resolution taken at the end of the meeting between FAAN Management and the leadership of the Unions in FAAN held Friday September 3, 2021.
The unions are the National Union of Air Transport Employees, NUATE, Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals, ANAP and the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, ATSSSAN.
According to the resolution, the Managing Director FAAN, Captain Yadudu agreed that, management will liquidate all arrears of the cooperative remittance on or before the end of September, 2021.
He also promised to do same with furniture grant, outstanding gratuity and actuarial valuation on or before September and December, 2021.
While the consequential salary adjustment report submitted by the Finance will be studied and commence implementation by the end of September.
The FAAN boss assured that on concession matters, he will head a joint union and Management committee to deliberate on the concerns of the unions as regards labour issues.
