By Fabian Anawo

A Civil Society group, Cornell Media Consult, CMC, has recognised the services of Federal Fire fighters in Lagos to humanity.

The group has given an award of recognition of hard work to the Zonal Controller, Zone F, Mr. Chika Eugene Njoku.

The leader of the group, Ambassador Cornell Udofia said that CMC had been monitoring the activities of Fire Services and found that Mr. Njoku stood out in an exemplary manner.

He said that Mr. Njoku stood out in the way he has been committed to duty and how he mobilised and motivates his men to discharge their duties.

Responding, Mr. Chika Njoku who is in charge of Lagos, Ogun and Oyo state said that the award would motivate his team to work harder.

He said that the award is an indication that people are monitoring what they do and would make them to be much more conscious.

However, he said that he was not completely surprised because good deeds attract attention and express gratitude to CMC for recognising their efforts.

Meanwhile, ten members of the Service who were trained in basic first aid by the Nigeria Red Cross Society were given their certificates of participation by the Zonal Controller.

Mr. Njoku charged them to be dedicated to their jobs and to be very professional in discharging it.
