Renowned Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Kayode Peters, has died after a prolonged illness in Toronto, Canada.
He passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, according to a statement shared by his family on Instagram.
Peters, fondly called KP, was known for his work in theatre and television, notably the hit comedy series Flatmates.
The statement described him as a “gifted filmmaker” and “a kind, generous spirit who touched many lives.”
The family has requested privacy as they make funeral arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, children, and relatives.
