The wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is doing everything possible to improve the country and enhance the lives of its citizens.
She made the remark during an Iftar —an occasion for breaking the fast—shared with former First Ladies of Nigeria, female members of the National Assembly, and the wives of National Assembly members.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu urged everyone to assist one person at a time, emphasizing that such acts of kindness could significantly alleviate the hardships faced by others.
The First Lady highlighted the unique occurrence of Ramadan and Lent coinciding this year, stating, “It is something that God had ordained before time.”
She described this period as one of sober reflection for both Muslim and Christian communities, who are observing their respective holy times.
Senator Tinubu encouraged the Muslim ummah to continue practising the virtues they embody during Ramadan and to consistently pray for God’s mercy.
Earlier, the Wife of the Vice President expressed gratitude to the First Lady for hosting the Iftar, urging everyone to keep the President and the entire nation in their prayers at all times.
The Vice Chancellor of Azman University, Kano, Professor Fatima Mukhtar, delivered a lecture on the spiritual significance and teachings of Ramadan.
Special prayers were also offered for the nation, the President, and all citizens.
