The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, LASU, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has cautioned students in the institution to avoid all forms of examination malpractice, stressing that anyone found culpable will face strict disciplinary action.
The warning was contained in a statement from the Office of the Vice Chancellor, as the institution commences its Second Semester Examinations for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The exams, originally scheduled to begin weeks earlier, had been delayed due to industrial action by the University’s Unions.
The V.C. also commended the students for their patience during the strike-induced delay, praising their “resilience, cooperation, and commitment to studies.
While reiterating the university’s zero-tolerance for any form of malpractice, Professor Olatunji-Bello further urged the students to approach the examinations with a positive mindset, confidence in their abilities, and a clear focus on their goals.
