Former Zamfara State Governor and current Senator, representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alh Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara), has concluded plans to spread his goodwill to the people of Zamfara State in the spirit of Ramadan.
In a statement by the Chairman Publicity Committee of the Distribution Team, Alh. Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji, a staggering 358 trucks loaded with different kinds of food stuff including Rice, Millet, Sugar, and Maize will be given to bring succour and joy to the people of Zamfara state.
The execution of the food items will be monitored by the Main Distribution Committee, led by Hon. Lawal M. Liman (Gabɗon Ƙaura), who also serves as the Chairman of the A A Yari Political Organization.
“ The distribution will cover 13 out of 14 Local Government Areas, with 17,500 households earmarked to benefit from this benevolent outreach, adding that, Gusau Local Government Area which is the largest target, will receive the goods on behalf of over 22,500 households “. Liman
In an announcement made while receiving a comprehensive report from 250,000 beneficiaries gathered from various Local Governments on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Gusau, Hon. Lawal M. Liman disclosed that the welfare package now includes Rice, Sugar, and Millet, in addition to Maize, recognizing the holy significance of Ramadan.
“ According to him, the successful transportation of over 98% of the commodities to various localities ensures a swift distribution process, minimizing delays for the recipients. Emphasizing the commitment to aiding those in genuine need, especially orphans, widows, and divorcees, the Chairman reiterated that “ the distribution will commence on or before the commencement of Ramadan “.
“ As the countdown to Ramadan begins, the call for prayers resonates not only for the former Governor but also for the prosperity of the state and the entire nation. The generosity and foresight of Shattiman Zamfara promise to make the Ramadan a season of abundance, unity, and compassion for the people of Zamfara “.
