FRCN Lagos Celebrates Veteran Broadcaster Fidel Ebohon at Retirement Sendforth

Management and staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Lagos Operations, have celebrated a veteran presenter on Radio One, Mr Fidel Ebohon, as he retired from active service after years of dedicated broadcasting service.

The Sendforth ceremony, held at the National Broadcast Academy in Ikeja, Lagos, attracted colleagues, friends and well-wishers from the three radio stations under the FRCN Lagos Operations.

Speaking at the event, the Director, Lagos Operations, Princess Adenike Adegoke, described Mr Ebohon as an embodiment of professionalism, diligence, discipline and humility.

She commended him as a devoted and seasoned news anchor whose record of service should serve as inspiration to other staff members.

According to her, his retirement comes at a time when his wealth of experience and contributions are still highly valued.Also speaking, the Director of the National Broadcast Academy, Dr Sam Anyanwu, lauded Mr Ebohon for his dedication and commitment to duty, noting that he leaves behind an enviable legacy in the broadcasting profession.

In his remarks, the General Manager of Radio One, Mr Abiola Peters, appreciated Mr Ebohon for his resilience, doggedness and strong sense of responsibility throughout his years of service.

He encouraged the retiree to remain active and continue contributing to society after retirement.

Other staff members who spoke at the ceremony praised Mr Ebohon for his professionalism, integrity and significant contributions to Radio One, stressing that his expertise remains valuable to the broadcasting industry.

In their separate remarks, Mr Ebohon, alongside his wife Seyi and daughter Ife, expressed gratitude to the management and staff of FRCN for the honour accorded him.

Mr Ebohon also encouraged serving officers to prioritise self-development and adequate preparation for life after retirement.
