The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Shehu Mohammed, has approved a major redeployment of senior officers across the country to boost service delivery and strengthen road safety operations.
According to Assistant Corps Marshal ,
Corps Public Education, Olusegun Ogungbemide, who signed the press release, the reshuffled officers includes the appointment of a new Corps Secretary, four Assistant Corps Marshals with strategic portfolios, as well as new Sector Commanders for key states of the federation.
Among the top postings, Assistant Corps Marshal G. Ntukidem takes over as Corps Secretary at the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja, while ACM J.W. Toby assumes duty as Zonal Commanding Officer in Osogbo. Other redeployed senior officers include ACM I. Abubakar, ACM A.M. Hassan, and ACM A. Sanusi, who have all been assigned new national responsibilities.
At the state level, fresh postings have been made to Delta, Anambra, Kogi, Kebbi, Bauchi, and Yobe Sector Commands, while others like Benue and Abia retain their current leadership.
In addition, over 60 other Corps Commanders have been redeployed across zonal commands, the FRSC Academy, and critical departments covering operations, training, data management, logistics, and medical services.
The Corps Marshal explained that the exercise is part of ongoing reforms to improve efficiency and ensure safer highways nationwide.
He urged the newly posted officers to justify the confidence of the management and called on motorists to extend full cooperation to them in the discharge of their duties.
