Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates LG Coordinators for Renewed Hope Campaign

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, inaugurated Local Government Coordinators for the Renewed Hope initiative across the state, urging them to take the message of the administration’s achievements to the grassroots.

At the inauguration event held in Ikeja, Governor Sanwo-Olu called on the coordinators to ensure that the success stories and programs being implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration are communicated effectively to every corner of Lagos. He emphasized the importance of the initiative in promoting national unity and empowering citizens to actively participate in the political process.

The governor highlighted key achievements of administration, including the reduction of Nigeria’s debt burden, stabilization of the economy, and ongoing infrastructure projects, which he said have set the foundation for a prosperous future.

Sanwo-Olu’s Chief of Staff and Lagos State Renewed Hope Ambassador, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, clarified that the movement is non-political, focusing on national development and increasing public engagement. Ayinde added that the initiative aims to foster greater awareness and participation in the electoral process.

On behalf of the coordinators, Mr. Japhet Odesanya from Ikorodu Local Government Area pledged to work diligently to ensure the success of the party and fulfill the objectives of the Renewed Hope initiative.

Goodwill messages were delivered by several prominent figures, including former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa. The event was attended by various stakeholders, including APC leaders, youth leaders, and ethnic group representatives.

To aid the coordinators in their efforts, Governor Sanwo-Olu presented twenty new buses for effective coordination at the grassroots level. Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed coordinators.
